Malko Tarnovo’s museum is a useful place to separate Strandzha’s archaeology, religious traditions and everyday livelihoods before exploring the surrounding countryside. The exhibitions occupy historic houses rather than a single purpose-built gallery. Treat the buildings and their domestic scale as part of the visit, and choose two themes to follow instead of rushing through every case.

These help explain practices you may encounter in village accounts, but photographs and films are not live rituals. Ask which nature-room activities and weaving demonstrations are working or can be arranged for your visit.
