Raysko Praskalo is a high mountain waterfall in the Dzhendema reserve below Botev Peak. The Central Balkan park's reserve account lists its 124.5-metre drop. The reason to come is the waterfall's setting beneath the rock walls, not an easily reached roadside viewpoint.

Allow for the approach, not just the photograph. The park's Ray Hut page lists Kalofer–Panitsite–Ray Hut at about 4½ hours. That is an indicative approach to the hut, not the complete waterfall outing or a guaranteed time for every group. The waterfall visit and descent require additional time.

Our editorial planning recommendation is to reserve a full hiking day or arrange an overnight itinerary with the hut. Confirm beds and food directly before relying on them, and decide your return route and turnaround time in advance. A city sightseeing schedule is not an appropriate template for this walk.

In the reserve, use the marked routes. Do not cut across slopes towards the water or walk under cliffs to obtain a close-up. Water flow and visibility are not guaranteed by the season; check park notices, the forecast and the Mountain Rescue Service's preparation advice. Snow and ice change the undertaking substantially.

Botev Peak is a separate, longer mountain objective: the park lists another 2½ hours from Ray Hut to the peak. Do not treat it as an effortless nearby add-on. Save Kalofer's town attractions for before or after the hiking itinerary, with their opening hours checked separately.
