Bezisten

Yambol's Bezisten is a historic covered market used today as a cultural and information centre. It is not an open-air bazaar or a shop selling “old age”, as the previous translation suggested. Start with the building, then use the centre's exhibition and event listings to decide which present-day programme interests you.

Give the architecture and the exhibitions different roles in your visit: the market building explains an earlier commercial use, while a current show or cultural event explains how the space is used now. Ask which displays and activities are available; an event-calendar entry does not guarantee a performance during an ordinary admission visit.
