Understand the vertical approach. The Ministry of Tourism's description places the monastery near Basarbovo in the Rusenski Lom valley and describes a courtyard approach followed by stairs to the rock church. The higher spaces are not a ground-level circuit. Ask about assistance and which areas can be visited if climbing would be difficult; do not infer step-free access from the road connection.
